19 yrs. Marriage

Celebrating 19 Years of Marriage

It seems like kind of a lot time but really it’s not.

I have known Scott for as long as I can remember.

We grew up together in the same small town,

had the same friends, teachers, coaches,

participated in the same activities, clogging, mayflower,

hikes to the “B”, hunters safety, spend many hours at the swimming

pool park, playing little league baseball, and attended the same

schools and church.

We graduated in the same class. “1993”

We call the little dirt roads the same name, like The Hogsback,

Trash pile hill, Thrill hill. Just the same we know the nickname of

everyone too. like Stretch, Patty Butter, and many more.

We share a lot of the same childhood memories, where we use to ate

Pugs, Coaches Gallery, Annie's, Tubs and Shirley's.

Even though some of them are long gone or changed names.

We still have our memories of them.

We swam in the Big ditch, jumped off cliffs at 3 creeks, and fished a lot

at little Res.

This little town is where everyone knows everyone,

you know there grandparents.

You could Trust everyone, and they looked out for you too.

This little town made for a wonderful childhood, and helped mold us

for who we are today.

This little town is where we fell in love.

This town is still full of people we love and care for.

We love to go visit, take our kids there and make more great

memories.

As it should be.

a gift

About a month ago my son was giving
a gift
the gift of the Priesthood.
It is one of the most important gifts
he will receive.
I’m sure he doesn’t realize the responsibility
that comes with this.
I pray daily for him.
I pray he will always stay true
to what he has been given.
I hope he knows and believes that this
gift came from God.
I personally love giving gifts
I love finding, pondering, searching for
the perfect gift.
I always put a lot of thought, time, and sometimes
work in to my gifts.
I love the anticipation that fills my heart when I
watch someone open and/or receive a gift.
Because there is always a smile,
a glance of gratitude,
that someone cares.
I know that our Savior is the Giver of Every
Good Gift, for the Spirit who manifests daily
gifts unto us.
I know that the Lord has given each of us
each specific gifts.
I pray each of my children will know what their
gifts are.
The gifts that God already knows, but that they have
yet to discover.
Good they are young and have their whole lives ahead
of them.
As for me I am still searching, and trying to use my gifts
that I have been given wisely.
I am a work in progress.

getting ready for conference

It’s been six month already.

General Conference is approaching, I was thinking today at the Dentist office was I ready?

Am I looking for an answer to a question?

Am I in a place to receive an answer?

Would I be listening?

What do I need to hear?

Maybe I should start preparing myself a few day ahead?

I know in past General Conference’s an answer has come to me in a form of, comfort, reassuring, calm feeling.

I am looking forward to the counsel and love that comes from listening to a prophets voice.

Last year I made 2 buckets with words on them that I fill with candy, and I have added another 3 this year.

Hopefully its just what my family needs to keep listening.

President Deiter F. Uchtdorf teaches this principle in the Sept 2011 Ensign. He says “Members of the church are entitled to personal revelation as they listen to and study the inspired words spoken at general conference”

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was our spring break too. We did so much stuff I hope I don’t forget something. It was a wonderful time.

1st up I drove Scott, Tristin and Gavin to Logandale on Wed night so they could finish up Tristin’s truck. We dropped the girls off at Britney’s. We had to stop in St. George for Scott to do a little work and the boys played Frisbee and tried to catch bullfrogs while we waited. Since it was around midnight.

2nd We woke up I headed back to Beaver but while in St.George stopped and had lunch with Auntie Margo, and her daughter Jennifer and her 3 daughters, along with Alisha and Natayla. It was so good seeing them and where Margo lives now. We did alittle shopping too. While Brit had my girls today she took them to the Easter Egg hunt, and played with there cousins.

3rd Payton and I went to Cedar City with Grandma today to do some shopping and have lunch with Weston and Bree. It was yummy and fun. When we got home I took to girls out to the Cabin with Britney and her kids. We had to walk some of the way. We cooked Hobo dinners and roasted Peeps with our S’mores. It was relaxing and a great adventure. I got an email from Scott with the pictures of the progress of the truck. Colt was there as well. He said he couldn’t have done it with out him.

4th We went out to Shag with the Bradshaw’s today for a picnic for lunch and 4 wheeler rides and another Easter Egg Hunt. We played some games and enjoyed each others company. We were missing Pam, Bret, some of Darren’s and April’s families. Payton loved going on rides and finally fell asleep on one. When we got back to Grandma’s we planted jelly Beans to see if they grew something?

5th Finally it was Sunday, the girls found there baskets, lollipops grew from jelly beans, and we went to church. It was a great meeting and I felt the spirit of Christ there. While they were talking of the resurrection and the atonement. Then we went back to grandma’s to pack up and April and Max stopped by on there way back home. We had lunch. Then the girls and I headed to the Cox’s for dinner and yet another Egg hunt. Our weekend was coming to an end. I drove home that night with 2 tired sleepy girls. The boys were behind me quite a ways bring Tristin’s truck home. Finally at around 2:00 am in the morning we were all together again, it felt how it should be like HOME.
