This time we made sugar cookies and they icing them and we took 4 plates of treats around to people in the neighborhood.

little did I know that this would be my last activity.

I have enjoyed my time with the eleven year olds I will miss them and miss

planning activities but it was great while it lasted.

know I'm moving on to the 5 year olds (Payton's class.)

felt flower hair clips and playing at the park…

Back in May the girls made Felt Flower Hair Clips.

All you need is felt, cut in circles, hot glue, clips, some put buttons on too.

Pretty easy and they like making these they get to take home.

SEW easy!!! Activity Days

For January’s activity I taught the

girls how to hand sew

with a needle and Embroidery floss.

They sewed on cardstock, making

flowers and sewing on a button

for the top of the flower.

They had a good time and hopefully it

will come in handy one day!

You’ve been BOOED!!!

In October for one of the activities I had the girls over and we made Witch hats and

Witch brooms out of candy.

(Reese, Kisses and cookies) and also a little icing.

I printed these sign out and cut out the tags and pumpkins with my circuit.

They had fun taking them to random people around the neighborhood.

This is a super easy and fun activity and a good way to do something nice for

someone else.

FHE Lesson–activity days

The girls need to prepare and give a FHE lesson to their families. I helped them

prepare one File Folder style. Thier was the cutest Lie Monster Story on

Sugardoodle. I printed them all and they cut them out and glued and got it all

ready. Take a look!

DIY goal banner Activity Days

I’m a little behind on posting our activity we had in the summer.

So part of going back to school is learning to set goals, accomplishing things, improving self.

I cut out these with my circuit and they put them together. Also wrote down goals on each of them. I forget to take a picture of them done.

Art and Craft Party turning 11

Over a week ago Whit turned 11..

20130807_141958

It was a super fun party with a bunch of girls.

she let me pretty much decide what to do, her

instructions were: a home party,

make something, and must have a 3 tier cake.

So this is what I came up with.

The Invitation: I cut traced and cut them out. Then punched 2 in circles out with a punch and glued them on.

The Aprons & Decorations: I bought them and put there names on them with puff paint.

The treat bags: I cut white clouds out of felt and sewed on rainbow color ribbons and stuffed with batting and glued on bag.

The Cake Stands: I bought all wood at Hobby Lobby, candlestick and 4 in round circle and glued them together and painted them. Each girl got one to take home.

The Crayon Art Project on Canvas: I found these 12x12 in a 7 pack at Michaels Craft Store. Crayons and a tag that said: “Be your own Masterpiece”

Art Project: First you glue on the crayons and then you get a hair blow dryer and the crayons starts melting. Make sure you have a big box for the wax to fall into. They turned out so COOL.

Cake time: Mini 3 tier cakes, I baked them the day before and put them in my fridge so they would be firm. Tons of icing later and girls making even a bigger mess. They turned out so cute!

Presents and eating: The party was longer than expected the kids had to call there parents to come later.

The Art Project took the longest and so did decorating there cakes,

I didn’t think they would be such perfectionist at this age but they

are. Whitney loved her party and also her moon shoes. She told me

several times how much fun and how much she appreciated

her party.

We are still kind of in shock that she is growing up so

fast. She is such a great helper, with Payton, Cooking, Cleaning,

just about anything we ask her to do.

Real quick 11 things about Whitney are:

1. She love to have fake nails

2. She loves music

3. She loves the color Purple

4. She loves Horses

5. She loves to make things

6. She loves to bake

7. She loves to play with friends

8. She loves to camp and go to the cabin

9. She loves her back scratched

10. She loves to have her picture taken

11. She loves all kinds of fruit

We adore her and are so grateful that we get to be your parents.
