A Baptism gift…

I teach the 7 year olds that are turning 8 sometime this year.

Which means they will be getting Baptized.

So I am giving this small simple gift to each of them.

It seems like this is all the kids favorite song,

so Skittles will work perfectly.

Refurbishing an old chair…

Scott defiantly did more work on this chair than me!

He couldn’t believe I bought this chair to redo, and he know that I would need his help too. So for a few month is sat in the garage, then I bought the fabric, then sanded it all, then is sat there for another month. Then Scott painted it, and I steal wooled the whole chair, then Scott clear coated it. He also put the cushion on for me!

Then ta, da it was DONE!!!

DIY Glittery Hair Bow Clips

I wanted to make a bow for Payton to wear during the Christmas program at Church. So I ended up at Hobby Lobby and found this fake vinyl leather in different glittery color sheets. I only bought 3 sheets and it made 9 bows. I ended giving the rest away to some of my friends. They are so cute all you need is to cut them out, put together, hot glue and clips!

The morning of her program she put her dress on and I of course thought her dress needed a little black on it, since her bow had black on it. So I called my sister and she told me how I could sew black ribbon to her dress. It ended looking great!

Happy New Year 2015!!!

Bringing in the new year!

For the 1st time at home, it was kinda weird I must say..

I didn’t have any decorations so I quickly made some with things I had around.

1. A plain bottle spray painted with liquid adhesive and added gold glitter and then applied a clear coat.

2. I had these mirror ball ornaments that I just added them to a glass jar. Then Printed this New Years little sign.

Well, that’s how we bring the party! Payton kept asking if it was midnight yet? Poor girl fell asleep about 20 minutes before midnight.

Everyone had a good time and the kids stayed up later and watched movies.

We hope the new year brings everyone Health, Happiness and a Deeper love of our Savior.

DIY chalkboard (days until)

A few weeks before Christmas I made 10 of these Chalkboards! Of course Scott cut them out for me and sanded them and I painted them with chalkboard paint, it did take quite of few coats! Then added the white vinyl lettering. But I think they turned out wonderful, and I’m already using mine..

Our year is coming to end…

2014 is coming to an end, I really want to write down a couple things about each of us! just some highlights so they want untold or unwritten.

Payton: 5

She started Kindergarten, and gets to ride the bus. She passed level one of swimming lessons, she took dance and performed at Lagoon. She slept the last 10 month with her brother Gavin. But did get a Daybed in her room a few weeks ago and has slept in it every night since. She is full of spunk and is very out going with family and people she knows, but at school and church is she very shy. She loves bananas, eggs, milk, hanging out with her siblings, singing, watching Netflix and playing with her best friend Courtney. Also certainly she is on the nice list.

Whitney: 12

She started 7th grade and now in middle school. She is one of the smallest, but that defiantly doesn't distract form her personality. You can usually find her in the Kitchen baking, watching Netflix, playing with friends and her little sister. She loves science and volleyball. She is enjoy Young Woman's and also taking a dance class. She got a new bed a few weeks ago and she loves it. She is super responsible and helps her mom out a lot.

Gavin: 15

He turned 15 this year! Got his Drivers License Permit. Tried out for Student Body Officer again and made it. He also made the Freshman Basketball team. Which is just starting and will be hopefully be a good experience for him. He just earned his LIFE in scouting so now we are looking for a eagle project to do. He works as a sweeper for Jordan school district. He is a motivated kid and always looking for projects to work on and loves Trivia and watching the Jazz and Seahawks with his Dad. He also shot a deer this past fall. He got braces on this past spring and already can see a big difference. He always makes plans with all his friends and informs what his plans are. Typical teenager I guess.

Tristin: 17

Over the last year he went to his Jr Prom, and been on a few more dates. He did work for Jordan School District. Spent the summer in Cedar City working Construction for Alder Construction. Currently he work at Texas Roadhouse. He received his Eagle Scout this year. He spent 4 days on a house boat with his dad and scout leaders and loved it. He loves his truck, his phone and hanging out this friends (girls), milk, and going to Beaver. He is the Pres. of this Priest class and is very good at it. He is a very good example to everyone. He can’t wait for high school to be over. He helps me so much each day and won’t know that to do with out him.

Scott and Vicki: 40 & 39

We celebrated our 20th year wedding anniversary! We travelled to 19 different states this year. We went on a bike ride to Death Valley CA, it was a great ride and very interesting Also took a ride over to Capital Reef, Escalante, Bryce Canyon which was very beautiful. Utah is such a pretty place to live. We also went on the Church History tour with my parents and 6 of my siblings and there spouses. It was absolutely the high light of our year. We will never forget the memories made and the feeling we felt while there. We camped a lot this summer and fall and all the kids enjoyed it. It is so great to spend so much time with family. Scott painted and did my Craft room for me this year. I love it and enjoy making and doing what I do. It as been a heaven on earth for our family this year, having all the kids still at home. We have been fully aware that our kids are getting older and will be leaving home soon. We have loved our time with each of them, and enjoy spending everyday moments with them. Scott loved going to Lake Powell with Tristin and also hunting deer with Gavin this year. Vicki now knows that having girls includes a lot of baking, crafting, doing hair, painting nails and teaching them new things. We have truly been blessed this year and looking forward to what next year will bring our way.
