A Flippin Sweet Party…

Gavin turned 13 this past week! He wanted to have some friends over, so guess what it did last night. Yup we had a party. I started planning it on Tuesday. I thought of Napoleon Dynamite! Gavin was still in school and I had the invitations done before he even got home. But I knew he would be up for anything, and he was. All the food details and games were pretty easy has well. Everyone had a great time. His friends are a bunch of FUN. We LOVE you Gavin and hope you have a terrific year.

Back to School

It’s that time of year again. I don’t really like it, but I know I can’t do a thing about it. Summer was wonderful, full of tons of TIME together. I am so grateful, because I know I will never get it back. Going back to school means to me that my babies are growing up so fast. Learning so much, becoming more independent, gone all day-5 days a week, endless homework, schedules becoming very busy, and tons of friends over.

DIY necklaces

A super easy necklace. Out of a metal shadow box and the ideas are endless. You can make it your own, your own style, your favorite color whatever. For young woman’s we made these the Wednesday before they started school. I told them that every time they wear them to remember WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO? WHY WE ACT THE WAY WE ACT? WHY WE SAY WHAT WE SAY?

Nothing is too big for God. So dream big. Plan. And give it everything you got!

It was also my birthday that evening and they made me a really YUMMY peanut butter, chocolate cake. It was nice of them.

They turned out cute, and my girls are even cuter I love and adore them. Now I think I need to make me one!

Beach day!!!

Today we left Disneyland and drove to Santa Monica we checked in to our Hotel which was pretty much right on the beach. AWESOME!!  We spent the day at the beach and swimming at the hotel. That night we sent down to the pier and walked and eat dinner downtown. The girls loved it and had tons of fun. They were ready for bed and we left for home early the next morning. What a week it was..
